PrivacyWhat I collect, and why.
Last updated September 29, 2026
iConnect Media is a one person web and software studio in Mississauga, Ontario. This policy explains what personal information this website collects, what I do with it, and the choices you have. It follows the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), the federal law that covers private businesses in Ontario.
Who is responsible
Andrew, the owner of iConnect Media, is accountable for the personal information described here. Questions, requests and complaints go to info@iconnect-media.com.
What I collect
When you start a project
The start your project form asks for:
- your name, email address and, if you choose, a phone number
- your company name and website
- a description of the project and your timeline
- the call time you pick
- any reference files you attach (images, PDFs or short videos)
With each submission I also record the IP address and browser type it came from. These are used only to stop spam and abuse of the form.
When you become a client
Invoices include your name, business name, email address and billing details. Payments are handled by Stripe. I never see or store your full card number.
When you browse
The site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It collects information such as pages viewed, the device and browser used, the approximate location derived from your IP address, and how you arrived at the site. See the cookies section below.
How I use it
- to prepare for and hold the intro call you booked
- to reply to you about your project
- to write your plan and price, and to deliver the work you hire me for
- to send invoices and receipts, and to keep business and tax records
- to keep the website secure and working, and to improve it
I do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and I do not add you to a mailing list. I only use your information for a new purpose after asking you first, unless the law requires or allows it.
Consent
By submitting the start your project form you consent to the uses described above. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing info@iconnect-media.com. If you do, I will stop using your information except where I must keep it for legal or tax reasons.
Service providers
I use a small number of trusted providers to run this site and the business. Each one only receives what it needs to do its job.
- Hostinger hosts the website.
- Cloudflare sits in front of the website to deliver it quickly and block attacks. Every visit passes through it, so it processes your IP address.
- Supabase stores project briefs, booking and invoice records.
- Google Cloud Storage stores the reference files you upload.
- Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar and Meet) sends booking emails and hosts the call. Your email address is added to the calendar invite.
- Stripe processes invoice payments.
- Google Analytics measures site traffic.
Some of these providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. While it is there, it may be accessible to courts and authorities in that country under its laws.
How long I keep it
- Nothing from the start your project form is stored until your booking is fully submitted. If you leave partway through, any files that were already uploaded are deleted automatically by the storage provider within a day.
- Briefs and reference files from people who do not become clients are kept for up to two years, then deleted.
- Client project records are kept for as long as we work together and for a reasonable period after.
- Invoices and payment records are kept for at least six years, as the Canada Revenue Agency requires.
How I protect it
Information is sent over encrypted connections, stored with providers that encrypt it at rest, and only accessible to me through a private, password protected account. Uploaded files are kept in private storage, not on public links. If a breach ever creates a real risk of significant harm to you, I will notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, as PIPEDA requires.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it where I am not required to keep it. Email info@iconnect-media.com. I will respond within 30 days, as the law requires.
If you are not satisfied with my answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
This site is meant for business owners. It is not directed at children, and I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date at the top. Significant changes that affect clients will also be sent by email.
